"Zahhok", the novel by our author Vladimir Medvedev has entered the longlist of the "NOS" award, which was announced on September 20 by the jury of the literary award.
The award "NOS" ("New Literature") was founded in 2009 by the Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation to identify and support new trends in contemporary art literature in Russia. The main feature of the award is the openness of the decision-making process. An indispensable condition for the work of the jury is the need to publicly argue the selection of the finalists and the winner in a talk show in the presence and with the active participation of journalists, writers and the cultural community.
Readers' online voting will begin on October 1, following which the winner will be selected for "The Reader's Choice Award" nomination.
Open debates by the jury, experts and the literary community will be held on November 2 at the XI Krasnoyarsk Book Culture Fair, following which the shortlist of nominees will be determined.
The final debate to determine the winner of the award will be held in late January 2018.
